HAMILTON UIIGING ITS CLAIM. HAMILTON, April 22. Tlie Borough Council unanimously carried a resolution last evening urging the Governement to utilise the Riuakura Farm site tor tire proposed .agricultural college. The Council claimed that as the farm is in readiness for operations, its selection tor a college would obviate long delay. It would effect a large saving to the country in view of the fact that the farm is -estimated to /be worth £IOO,OOO. A resolution was also proposed to tire effect that the Government he asked to introduce legislation giving local bodies which control, make and maintain streets and roads, power in licensing motor vehicles, both public and private, and to collect a fee sufficiently high to provide 80 per cent, interest and singing fund on the loans for tire purpose of making roads and streets capable of standing present day motor traffic.
