FIRST CLASS INVESTMENT.
NEW OFFICES IN LONDON. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. "I consider it is a first-class business investment," said the High 'Com-missioner-elect (Sir James Parr). when asked this morning if lie cared to comment on th e purchase by the Government of new offices in London. Sir James said that the Government now had a freehold, instead of a leasehold property, and a sound, wellconstructed building, containing adequate room space for the exhibition of New Zealand produce, and for the various offices necessary. The building was nearly opposite Charing Cross railway station in the Strand, which wax perhaps the busiest street in the whole Empire. The Government could not have got a better stand for publicity purposes. Jt might be found possible to utilise the cinema theatre in the new building for the exhibition daily of New Zealand films and possibly of phono-films, where a vocal message could be conveyed to the audience about a particular film from well-known authoi-ities or a Minister of th e Crown. The cinema was now being run by a private company, and the idea had occurred to him that it might be used by the New Zealand Government.
