SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETING.
At a meeting of the School Committee held in the Schoolroom last evening there were. present: Messrs R. L. Tippler (chairman), Burns, Blackwood, -Brown, Phillips, Lankshear, Roberts and Watkins (secretary). An apology for absence was received from Mr Brann. The secretary reported that he had forwarded to the Board a cheque for £3O, being the committee's share of the cost of purchasing the site for extending the playing area at the School. It was resolved on the suggestion of the teaching staff, that the school colours be grey and red. The girls' uniform to be a grey flannel sleeveless dress with red monogram on the blouse, and a grey flannel waistband, black stockings, with hat- of their own choice with grey and red band with school monogram. The boys to wear grey cap with red monogram and grey stockings with two thin red bands at top. Ini the summer months they will wear a grey shirt with collar. The design ofi the monogram was held over in the meantime. The headmaster (Mr White) .reported the attendance lor the past four weeks as follows:—34o, 339, 327,' 327; average for ttie quarter' 338, the roll number being 357.
