* STORE PIGS AT DISCOUNT. There were fair yardings in each section of Tuesday’s stock offerings. Store pigs brought poor returns, pork just succeeded in striking an average, whilst sheep were .barely marginal in price. There was little change from the circumstances of recent sales. Some of the prices are shown below: Pigs.—Small stores 8s to- Us 6d, large ditto 15s to 21s, porkers 38s to £2 15s, baconers £2 15s to £3, weaners 5s 6d to 7s. Sheep.—Low condition ewes £4 6s, lambs ss, heavy fat ewes 19s, fan. ewes r.w.r. 14s, empty ewes 13s (Id, small lambs 7s 4d. Cattle.—Steers £5 10s, fat cows £4 10s, fat cows £4 10s, stores £2 9s. P.A. steers passed in at £5 15s. One pen of 18-months Hereford steers in fair condition £3 6s, ditto Shorthorn £3 Us.
