MORE PRODUCTION.

IIOW MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE WILL HELP. \ - CHRISTCHURCH, March 31. The Hon. O'. Hawlcen, Minister of Agriculture, was given a civic reception at Rangiora yesterday and later opened the new A.'and P. Hall. In his speech he said, “We must get down to it and produce more than we have been doing. The great need of New Zealand to-day is increased production. The Agricultural Department will have to take it Ldrto its hands to see that a great deal more instruction is given -to young people whb intend to take up farming. We must do everything possible to help the farmer to produce more than he has 'been producing. We have men thoroughly skilled in farming in our Department and I am of opinion that we have not made foil use of these men in the past. We must in future. It will be to the benefit of the country. We have many difficulties to pass hut we will do it.’’
