ARAHURA PASSENGER’S PLIGHT NELSON, March 31. During the Arab lira’s passage from kelson to Wellington on Monday night a lady passenger was stricken with sudden serious illness. There being no doctor aboard, the wireless operator described tire-symptoms to a doctor in Wellington, who gave instructions as to treatment, which, with the assistance of a lady passenger and a chemist who happened to be aboard, were systematically followed. When the vessel arrived at Wellington the medical man, who had been called, again when the vessel was coming in at the Heads was cm the wharf awaiting the arrival of the patient who was taken to a private hospital. It is felt that had it not been for the aid of wireless and the precautions taken death would probably have occurred.
