COMPULSORY MARRIAGE.
COURT MAKES UNIQUE ORDER. WELLINGTON:, March 25. George Errol Coaxes, 24, labourer, and Constance Riddle, 28, on a charge of obtaining £ls 5s from the Qtago Finance and Agency Co., Dunedin, by a false pretence, were ito-day admitted to probation for three years by the Magistrate, Mr Page. He said he had decided on this course (because there was a large family of young children. Accused were not married and there are three illegitimate children. A condition of probation was that they should ■■niaxiry within fourteen days. The male accused was ordered to pay back the money at ,the rate of Ss 6d iper week.
