HOROWHENUA RUGBY REFEREES ASSOCIATION.

_— * ANNUAL MEETING. The animal meeting of the Horowhenua Rugby Referees' Association was held on Monday, the 15th inst., in Mr G. Bould's .rooms and was very largely attended. The consideration of the annual report and balance sheet was deferred as the hooks were waylaid, owing to the past secretary's absence: The following are the office bearers elected for the ensuing season:—(President: Mr W. Peters; vice-presidents: Messrs Dalziell and Butterworth; management committee: Messrs McLeavey, Rose, Bevan, Cole and.Hopa; appointment .committee: Messrs Smith, Cole and Bevan; vice-president to IN.Z. H R.A.: Mr Karauti; delegate to N.Z. R.R.A.: Mr Emmett; lion, secretary and treasurer: Mr Emmett. The annual referees -conference is to be held at Dunedin on 2nd and 3rd of April, 'but owing to financial difficulties the Horowhenua Association will not be represented. On the 16th April, a conference between the Manawatu and the Horowhenua Referees will be held m Levin on the correct interpretation of the laws of the game. The secretary would 'be pleased to hear from any old player who would officiate during the coining season as a referee. A local referees examination will be held aibout the .middle of next month.
