OLD GOTHIC CHAPEL.

BIG RESTORATION SCHEIE. The Bishp of South wark has originated a scheme for restoring three chapels injthe retro choir or Lady Chapel of Southwark Cathedral which is one of the most perfect examples of early English architecture in London. When Queen Elizabeth came to the throne tho court was closed, and. the 'chapel was let to a baker. For seventy years th e people of Southwark: bought their bread in the building, which is now their parish church.
