SCHOOL CONVEYANCE-OWNERS SEEK REVISION. Proprietors of the. Levin School motor buses recently asked the Wellington Education Board to. subsidise 1 motor bus .owners within the area under the Board's jurisdiction, owing to the extra burden imposed by the exaction of heavy traffic fees. At the January meeting of the Board it was decided to ask the Education Department for a subsidy up to the license charged upon school conveyances, it ibeing urged that this would constitute very real assistance to the contractors concerned in the conveyance of children into Levin from the outlying areas. * At the February meeting of the Wellington Education Board, a letter was received from the Education Department stating that, in its opinion, heavy traffic matters should be deicided between the Education; Board I and the local bodies, concerned.
