DOMINION'S HIGH FOSITIOIN. In an international blue book compiled by Mr. W. E. Robinson, of Springfield, Illinois, U.S.A., are given the results of, 60* of the world's foremost egg-laying contests, which took place during 1924-25, including American, Canadian, English, European, South African, Australian and New'Zealand tests. The book covers a vast amount of detail and gives the results obtained from over thirty thousand hens. The two New Zealand contests are in the first four on the list for average production per bird per annum. The Utah contest, held at Logan, Utah, has an average of 222.3 eggs per bird; Auckland Poultry Keepers' Association 219.0; British Columbia Experimental Farm, 215.5; and. Papanui CChristchurch), 215.4. Several oOiers are in close order.
