WEDDING.
GARDNiER-ADKIN. •The marriage took place-yesterday, at the residence of the bride's father, "Cheslyn Rise," Levin, of Edith dare, daughter of Mr W. G. Adkin and the late Mrs Adkin, and James Caldwell, son of Mrs and the late Mr John Gardner, Kings Road, Dower Mutt. Oniy immediate relatives were present at the oeremiony, the Rev. J. D. McArthur toeing the officiating minister. The service was conducted under an artistic archway fashioned in the hall. The bridal gown was of .pale crepe beige faille, the effect beiing further enhanced by a beautiful ibridal veil that had belonged to the bride's mother, and had since adorned many other brides. She carried a colourful bouquet of flowers, whose colours were matched with tulle streamers. She was attended by her sister, Miss Vivian Adkin, who wore a dainty frock of. chiaimpagne-colour-ed crepe-de-chine, with hait to match and carried a bouquet in delicate shades of pale pink.' Mr E. C. Sawtell was best man. Following the reception, Mr and Mrs Gardner proceeded by car to Paraparaumu, where tliey will spend the first few days of their honeymoon. They have the sincere good washes of many friends, whose esteem they have won for a happy future.
