A. AND P. SHOW.
LARGE ENTRIES 1 OF SHEEP ANiD PilGjS. There is good promise that the Horowhenua A. and P. Association's Show, on Tuesday and Wednesday next, should be full of interest to the farming community, as the entries in many sections are particularly good. Entries for the competitions are a few: less Man were received for the 1924 Show, but sheep are aihead in numbers, whilst pigs entries have increased by 50 pea- cent, The decrease of entries from horse-owners is an indication of the trend in modern transport, and the Association might do well to follow the'practice of other societies, Who find motor car competitions a very popular tea ture in their programmes. The ,ca,ttle classes are quite) up to the usual schedule, but particularly insofar as guiality is concerned. The red riband exhibits in these sections will be very choice animals. -The.Show widl provide interest not only for those directly interested in stotek-'breeding, but for those who; between times find time to enjoy the side-shows and otheri diversions of which there are many. The innovation of haying a dog section at this year's show lias .prayed surprisingly attractive, amid entries Wave been received from some of the best known breeders in New Zealand.
