A LONG .TREK AHEAD
Messrs Abraham, and Williams, Ltd., have just shipped to Sydney a valuable consignment of North- and South Island Romney sheep which are destined foi Kenya Colony m British East Africa The rams were selected from the well-known studs of Messrs J. A. Mitchell, Lomgbum, Palmerston North and A. s. Holms, Waimahaka, Southland. Both flocks have already been drawn, upon to supply overseas orders, but in for- ■ Warding. to ■.go-distent a field of British influence, a new market has been touched upon. At Sydney the sheep will be -.transhipped and despatched to Durban. From there they Will be sent on a 2000 miles journey up the African coast to Mombasa, and from the .latter port a trek inland of 400 miles awaits item, before they reach their final the vicinity of Lake Victoria. The shipping arrangements Jiave been deposed of by Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., I/td.
