LEVIN SALEYARDS.
SLOW BIDDING—FEW SALES. Excepting two large pens of Hereford and Polled Angus bullocks both of which were passed in owing to desultory bidding at a low figure, there were very few cattle entries at yesterday’s sale. Of these, an entry of 20-months-'Old heifers failed to command more than 43s 6d and these, too, reverted to the vendor. ’Fat cows brought from £2 13s to £5 2s 6d. Stores realised £2 Is. The demand for porkers was not so good as that of last week and prices suffered a- slight decline. Store pigs, however, were in lair demand, prices being on a par with previous rates, namely, £1 apiece. Weaners, in acaoirdaince with recent quotations, sold at from 10s to 18s. The attendance of buyers was very small.
