LEVIN SALEYARDS.
SMALL YARDING OF STOCK. The yarding of stock at the Levin saleyanls on Tuesday as is usual at this time of the year, was very poor. Sheep were yarded in very small numbers, fats being neglected, whilst stores sold in sympathy with late market rulings. Pigs were yarded in fairly good numbers, hut the cattle offerings were small, in keeping with this period" of the season. The prices were:— Cattle.—Light fat cows £4 15s, forward cows 38s, cows and calves £2, vealers (small) 265, two-year steers £4. Sheep—Mixed sex 8-tooths (small) 20s 9d, 4-tooth ewes and lambs (shorn) 41s 7d. Pigs.—Small weaners 7s. 6d, small stores £l, good stores 295, light porkers 335, porkers £2 to £3 Is.
