The great arch nearly SO feet high, that leads from the. gallery into the shrine—the work of a. young Edinburgh sculptor. Mr. Pilkington Jackson—is, with its sculpture and carving, already complete. '' The shrine is to contain, a series oi" seven stained glass ■windows —eaoh measuring about three feet wide by J 6 feet high. In the naval window 'he subjects ar e destroyers, a camouflaged transport ,the deck of a battle i hip, and submarines. Th c Air Force window shows aeroplanes, airships. soap lanes, and kite balloons. It is hoped that, if the present rate of progress is maintained, the structural work will b( ; completed in the autumn or' I!>2G.
