This avos the first occasion the Tokomaru Club, Avhich is practically a new; one, have sent, a ,team away and when it is rememibered thart the playens are «u(sed to pluving -on a grass court, they were therefore tut a disadvantage playing on the asphalt. They proved themselves good spcirte and the. opinion was-expressed itliM with a feAV more games on an asphalt court they .should not be, long in holding their own with shannon, as they certainly have some good players in their team. The games played. proved quite enjoyable and .unmeet pleasant afternoon, was spent, during which tea was dispensed by the ladies.
