LORItY COiUDM>ES WITH-CAR AT WAIKANjAE, The third .niotor collision on a bridge within a, week occurred in the district on Tuesday ait Wiaikaffiae. A car driven by Mr A. E. Tongs, of Fqxton, was proceeding to Wellington, and when on the bridge at Waikanae a 'heavy lorry collided with it, with, the result that the car gut decidedly the worst of the encounter. My and Mrs Tong Avere severely shaken. -Their son, Merryn Tang, was so badly cut about ..the head and face that lie was removed to (the Mouiterc Hospital at Qtaki for treatment. Miss McAllister, of Foxton, was also slightly injured, but the dther passenger, Mrs Stone, escaped without being fount. The car was biadly knocked about, but the lowy was not .damaged and was. aMe* to proceed on Its journey. The view at the approaches of the bridge ere said 1 to be obscured by some trees on the adjoining land.
