' * SHEEP PRICES DECLINE. No sheep were ©old at yesterday's weekly sale at Levin, the drop in prices being attributed to" the lqw freezing rates ruling at the present time. Bidding was very slow and the yarding of cattle was the smallest seen in the yards for some weeks; conse. quently prices were little above the average. Pigs, especially stores, were in fair demand, tout prices were only on a par with recent quotations. The prices at the sale were as follow:
Pigs —weaners 14s 6d to 225, stores to 28s 6d, light porkers £2 6s to £2 15s, baconers to £3 2s. Cattle.—Fat cows £5 to £6 10s, stores 256 to £2 6s, Jersey heifers £4, vealers 335, springing cows £8 10s.
