BRITISH FRUIT SHOW.

AUSTRALIA'S. LONE EXHIBIT. LO'NDON, Nov. 2d. Despite the enormous advertisements given to Australian apples at Wembley, one case of Granny Smiths, unticketed, uncatalogued, and in an inconspicuous position, was' the sole . exhibit at the Imperial Fruit Show at | Holland Park, and even that had been redeemed after four months in the cold storage at Wembley. Canada, on the contrary, installed a huge exhibit in which_the provinces were represented separately. This was accompanied ,by attractive pamphlets, with attendants imparting information. Australia also had two exhibits, comprising twelve cases of oranges, which arrived late, and were not. catalogued. , Speakers who described the show as the world's greatest fruit exhibit obviously were not aware of the paucity nf Australian exhibits. ' DELAYED BY THE STRIKE. Mr E. F. L. Wood, the Minister for \griculture, in opening the exhibition said there was a great., opportunity for propaganda in favour of Imperial- fruit. He pointed out that the Dominions in 1924 produced 16 per cent, of the fruit consumed m Britain.
