LEVIN STOCKYARDS.
I'- WEEKLY SALE. I There was an exceptionally small yarding of .cattle at the weekly Levin sale yesterday, and a very few .buyers were present. The entry of sheep was fair, hut nothing of an outstanding nature came forward, Lambs maintained late rates, but quality in other sheep offered was not particularly high. Porkers were in slightly better demand and 'brought prices a little in advance of last week. The prices were:— Cows: Forward £3 10s. stores 30s to £'3, medium fat £5 to £7, coloured yearling heifers £2 13s to £3. dairy £3 10s to £7 10s, springing heifers £4 10s to £8 10s , hulls £6; vealers £2. .Sheep: Prime fat woolly ewes £2 ?s, medium shorn mixed sex hoggets 24s 7d. fat wethers £2. 5s 6<l, fat. ewes 35s to £2 2s, fat lambs 27s 6d, shorn hoggets ISs 6d. Piers: Weanevs lis. light, stores 20s to 38s. choppers 375, porkers £2 3s to £2 16s, bnconei's £3 17s, light porkers £2 2s. heavy ditto £3 ss, light baconers £3 17s, medium ditto £4 4s.
