ALL SAINTS' CHILDREN'S HOME.

W ANTED-BIRTHDAY GIFTS, (To the Editor.) Sir—On Saturday, October 17th, at 3 p.m., the All (Saints' Children's Home, Ferguson Street, Palmerston North, is holding its birthday party. This home is doing a splendid work for distressed children and it is always lull, we have more applications than we can accept. We have children from all oyer the Manawatn and Rangitikei, and we have been able to meet many a case of need and distress from places far away in these districts from Palmerston. North. There are 36 children in our Home at Palmerston North' and 21 in the Home at Foxton. Will you come or send us some gift to our Birthday Party. The following is a list of our needs:—Strong black enamel trays, large and small, saucepans, sweeping brushes, carpet brush, hand brushes, scrub brushes, blacklead brushes, hair brushes and combs, tooth brushes, boot brushes, small knives, enamel plates (large and small), garden spade, garden push hoe, door mat, enamel bowls, soup; ladle, enamel jugs, eupsj and saucers, iron cooking spoons, soap racks, fire ■shovel, fire guard, potato peelers, pyjama flannel, flannel for vests, single sheeting, pillow slips, single white quilts, navy dura, towels of every description, white table oilcloth for dining room tables, haberdashery of all kinds, lino for bathroom, mattress for single bed, 5-feet mattresses, sailed clothes basket, oatmeal, flour groceries.
