“I have only appeared in Masterton on two previous occasions,” re marked His Honour Mr Justice Ostler when replying to a welcome extended to him in the Masterton Supreme Court. His Honour said his first appearance was in the year 1909, when, with Mr P. L. Hollings, he appeared to oppose a petition that had been lodged for. upsetting the poll by which no-license was carried in Masterton. They succeeded in defeating the petition.
