POOR QUALITY OFFERINGS. The sheep pens were practically empty at the Levin sale yesterday afternoon, yand the bidding was so spiritless that all the entries reverted to the owners. Pig quotations maintained an even keel, with but little discrepancy between last week’s figures and this. This week’s schedule of prices includes:— Sheep.—Fat wethers, 445; black-faced hoggets, 355. Cows.—Empty heifers, 30s to 455; small yearling heifers, 27s to £2; two-year-old rough steers, £5 ss; yearling steers £2 lfs; forward condition cows to £4; light fat heifers £4 10s; medium springing heifers £4 10s to £4 17s 6d; stores 35s to £2 10s; weaner buHs £2 17s 6d. Pigs.—Weaners 17s 6d to 255, stores (small) 27s to 325; stores (forward condition to £2, medium porkers £2 10s, heavy ditto £3 to £3 7s 6d; baconers £3 6s to £4 Is.
