IF ALLIES PERMIT. (Received This Day, 8.55 a.m.l LONDON, August 26. The correspondent describes this as a left-handed chal lenge to the Allies' decision in regard to German airships. The appeal is signed by representatives of all classes. Lieut. Eckener, who piloted the LR2 to America, does not believe the Allies will oppose the construction of a great airship for a scientific voyage, which will produce more than mere scientific results, namely experience and proof of the suitability of the Zeppelin for long distance traffic.
