£lo,ooo JEWEL THEFT.
ROOM ENTERED WHILE OWNER SLEPT. A £IO,OOO jewel theft was reported to Scotland Yard and the Continental police by Mrs. Felix B. Goetz, of Weibeck House, Welbeck Street W. Mrs. Goetz believes the jewels were stolen from her bedroom at the Imperial Hotel, Boulogne, while she was isleep. Mrs. Goetz, who was staying at Boulogne on her way to Paris, went to a dance. On her return she put away in her, bedroom the jewels she had been wearing and retired for the night. "I discovered my loss next morning," said Mrs. Goetz. "I found that my, trunk had been opened and the jewellery, which had been locked in it, had been taken. "Someone must have entered the room while I was asleep." A reward has been offered by the assessors for information leading to the recovery of the jewels. • Among the missing jewels is a very fine string of pearls valued at £5700. a diamond bracelet and a diamond ring, each worth £IOOO, and an -£BOO pearl ring.
