POOR BIDDING—SMALL OFFERINGS. '• V Consequent, no doubt, upon the inclement state of the weather, there were very few buyers at the stockyards yesterday. Pigs suffered a decline in price and sheep brought a slightly lesser figure than' that obtained at the more recent sales, a fair number of entries in this department being passed in as unsold. Offerings iu the dairy stock section were very slight, prices realised being included in the following quotations:— Cows: Fats £4 15s to £6 17s 6d, stores 29s to-£3 10s; empty heifers £2, springing heifers' up to £7. Sheep: Fat wethers '44s, 2-tooth wethers 37s 6d, hoggets 245, ewe hoggets 245, ewe hoggets 345, ewes m lamb £l. ' , no , Pigs: Weaners 14s 6d, stores 23s to 30s 6d, porkers £2, baconers £3.
