Butter.—Market steady but quiet. We quote New Zealand salted 196 s (1945), Danish 206 s (2025), finest Australian salted 1925. (190 s), unsalted 194 s (1945). Cheese.—New Zealand white 109 s to 110 s (108 s to 109 s), coloured 108 s to 109 s (108 s to 109 s), Canadian c.i.f. 108 s (109 s 6d). spot 106 s to 108 s (106 s to 108 s). FROZEN MEAT. Lamb.—New Zealand prime crossbred Jamb, Canterbury heavy 9£d, light llfd, North Island heavy 9£d, light Hid. Demand f-or New Zealand lamb runs principally on light weights; market weaker.
Mutton—New Zealand prime crossbred mutton, Canterbury heavy 6£d, light 72d, North Island heavy 6£d. light 7id. Moderate demand for New Zealand mutton, market weak. Beef—New Zealand prime ox beef hinds s£d, fores 3|d. Better demand for New Zealand beef, market firm. Pork—Nominal quotation spot B£d, c.i.f. Bd.
