On resuming Shannon turned the tables by a determined attack on the visitors’ line a-line kick by Ranslield going out near the corner flag. This was soon after followed by a series of passing bouts by Shannon backs who were handling the ball in good style and on two occasions the ball being lost near the line. Hunt was entrusted with the kick, and as the result of the game depended on the attempt, it was a gieat disappointment to the Shannon supporters, when the kick, which was a good one, missed by a narrow margin and thus, ended the best senior game played this season in Shannon. Mr T. Parata very ably controlled the game.
