As the result of a meeting between the delegates'from the two unions the arrangements for the linki,ng-up have at last reached finality, and the boundaries decided upon. The colours will be a green-and-white jersey with a red and blue shield on the chest. As regards the allocation of rep. games, it lias been agreed that one match will be played in Horowlienua to three in Manawatu, excepting where the majority of the district delegates on the committee waives its right to the match in their district. The line: of demarcation, in respect to- the two unions has been decided upon, thus: From Tokomaru to Rangiotu, to Sorenson’s corner at Himitangi, thence straight to tire sea. The rules and by-laws have formally been adopted. The agreement to "amalgamate was signed for Ilorowlienua by Mr J. Procter, us President of the Horowlienua Rugby Union, and Mr J. Rimmer, as chairman of tlie Management Committee. It was. resolved thuit the first meeting of the district councils should be held on August Btli. at Palmerston North, when the combined committee will he elected. It is anticipated that at least two more vice-presidents will be elected to the local committee, as well as a representative for the schools. Ail that now remains is the endorsement, by the New Zealand Rugby Union of the amalgamation. The schedule of matches to be played is: August Bth, Horowhenuia v. Manawatu; August 12th, ManawatuHorowlienua v. Southland; August 22, Manawatu-Horowhenua-Wellington, v. New South Wales, at Palmerston N.: August 2, Manawatu-Horowlienua v. Taranaki; August 29, Manawatu-Horo-wlienua v. Wanganui; September 5, Manawatu v. Horowlienua; Sept. 16, Horowhenua v. Hawkes Bay; Sept. 26, Manawatu-Horowhenua v. Wellington, at Wellington. Those present at the meeting were: (Horowlienua), Messrs Procter, Rimmer, Sloan, Robinson, Austin, Robertshaw, Hutchens, Carmichael; (Manawatu), Messrs Hardie, Hannay, Faire, Eglinton, Proud, and Whyte.
