LEVIN STOCK MARKET.
MODERATE SALE THROUGHOUT. The demand for dairy cows was very slack at yesterday's sale, but there was a good enquiry for sheep, some of the prices of which were: Mixed age ewes in lamb to Romney ram, 375, aged ewes 255, small 2-tooth wethers 28s 2d, small 2-tooth ewes 275, good forward condition ewes 265, fat lambs 35s 4d, fat ewes £2 to £2 7s.
There was a very small offering of pigs, medium porkers fetching £2 6s, while heavy porkers made £3 Is; weaners 25s to 28s.
Jersey cross heifers (weaners) realised 37s 6d; heifers in calf, £3 12s €d to £5, empty store heifers £2 to £4, springing heifers £4 4s to £6, store cows £1 to £2, forward condition £3 ss, fats from £4 5s to £5 ss, dairy cows from £3 10s to £B, small vealers £2 Is, a line of poor quality weaner steers fetched 355, fat heifers made up to £5 10b.
The attendance of buyers was good and there was a good yarding ' of stock.
