TOM MIX AND TONY. la the stormy days of the West, when the six-gun man was the jury, the stage coach drivers who transported the gold and silver from the mines were as picturesque as the bandits against whom they fought. Greatest of all was the wonderful Hank Monk. Mix, the virile Western star of tlie Fox West Coast Studio, had read the amazing story of Monk and he drilled into the head of Buster Gardner, the driver of - the Deadwood coach, some of tlie traditions of that former king of tlie lash and the reins. The result is that in Mix’s latest and greatest screen story, “The Deadwood Coach,” which will thrill the local picture public on Saturday in Shannon, a fine representation of the dashing driver of former days wiil be seen. “THE FAST WORKER.” Roxbury Medcrolt persuades Terry Brock, a'n architect, to assume his identity and go to Catalina on a vacation, leaving him in New York to wage a financial war incognito. Terry finds that he has also- to pose as husband of Edith, his friend’s wife, and father to their small daughter. Her sister accompanies them on the trip; Terrv falls in love with her. Gossips at" the resort discover this—a. scandal rises that causes the hotel management to investigate. Thentilings happen! It takes a police force and a truck, a yacht and a few other things to extricate the lively Reg Denny from all the trouble! See how this was managed at the Maoriland on Monday.
