GOLF NOTES.
ONE CLUB MATCH ON SATURDAY,
PROFESSIONAL COACH,
Arrangements are now complete for the visit of the golf professional to Shannon for the purpose oi giving lessons to all interested members of the local cluib. Coaching will commence on Tuesday morning next at 9 a.m. in fine weather lessons will be held at the Jinks, and if wet and in the evening in a room kindly offered for the purpose bv Mr Howard Andrew at the 'back of "his shop. The hours will be 9 a.m. to 12; 2 p.m. to i arid 7 p.m. to 9. The fee is 3/6 for each lessou. of one hour's duration. The time table is now being made up, and intending pupils are requested to notify the secretary of the hours most suitable to them. All golfers are strongly urged to take this opportunity of having lessons from , such a highly counpetent'professional as Mr Melvin. Besides the 3s Cd per hour coaching fee members taking lessons will be charged Is per head, fiat, rate, irrespective of number of lessons taken, to go towards paying the retaining fee. Payable to secretary. On Salurday (10-morrow) a one-club match will .be held on the local links! Players will choose their own partners', and play nine holes with one club. The same club to be used all the way; and may not be changed after starting. The rest oi the eighteen holes may be played in the usual way, both scores to appear on the same card.
