A group has been formed in Valley Road, Paraparaumu and equal to a small group completed at the Central Development Farm. Canvassing is. now proceeding on roads on the eastern' side of the railway line between Levin and Shannon. It is intended to canvass the Raumati and Rikiorangi areas and have the possible load ascertained before next meeting. The contractors generally are making fairly good progress with the groups, but in one or two instances it has been necessary to urge better results. We .have orders now overdue and I have urged the firm to press forward delivery. At the same time I consider it advisable to order an additional seven tons from Australia for delivery in three weeks, subject to the Board's confirmation. Ranges are being absorbed rapidly and I would advise authority be given to purchase 10 Moffat- ranges when suitable opportunity offers.
