A NATIONAL BRAND FOR DAIRY PRODUCE.
The New Zealand Dairy Control Board is to be congratulated on its choice of a national brand for the exportable surplus of New Zealand butter and cheese. Both; the name and the, design could not have been better or more appropriate for both are well and honourably known by a large number of people in Great Britain. Ihe words "New Zealand" imprinted on a fernleaf constituted (in various shapes and forms), the recognised insignia of the thousands of New Zealand soldiers who Avent out to the Great War. The same words and token comprised the well-known badge of the worldfamous "All Blacks," and for these two reasons alone no more suitable brand could have been chosen for New Zealand's butter and cheese. Apart from this the fernleaf is a pleasing design that should lend itself particularly well as a brand. There is little doubt chat the Control Board's choice will ni,eet with universal approval, and with something like two and a.-half million boxes of butter and one million crates of cheese annually, the words, New Zealand, should become household words throughout Great Britain in a very short time.
