1 KING’S BIRTHDAY TOURNAMENT. To-morrow, .being King’s birthday, and a holiday, local golfers will be given an qppommity of taking pari in the first tournament of the season. It is purposed holding a competition for men and for ladies, men to play over .'eighteen holes, ladies fifteen, cutting out Nos. 7,8; and 9 in the second round. Play will be on the club’s handicap. 'All players will he paired at the pavilion before starting. Play will commence as soon as possible alter 12.30 p.m. Post entrance fee of 2s. Ladies are requested to provide afternoon tea. Next Saturday being the first Saturday in the month the June medal match will.he played. Members are requested to arrange their own partners. ;
