SUNNYSIDE BOYCOTTS NEXT gathering.
CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. During a discussion at to-days meeting of the general committee of the Canterbury A. and P. Association a surprise was sprung on members by an announcement that the Sunnyside Mental Hospital authorities would not exhibit stock at the forthcoming Royal Show, Mr J ' pa sjf“ e said at the request ol the Pig Committee he had interviewed the superintendent of the Sunnyside Mental Hospital with regard to entries of stock for the Royal Show, and had been informed by him that there was to be no more showing of stock fiom an of the Mental Hospitals on account of some irregularities at Porirua. Mr .T. D. Hall said the withdrawal of th» Department’s exhibfls was a very serious affair, especially as on the occ - piem of a Royal Show the publie would be deprived of witnessing what •was being done in (the mat'ter of stock-raising at mental hospitals. H moved that the Minister of Health be written to on the subject. inis was agreed to.
