This Divine promise, thrice given rim the closing chapter of Holy Writ, will soon be fulfilled for the people of God when, the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump Of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first; Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And «o shall we ever be with thfe Lord.— Tlies. 4, 16-17; The Spirit and church haying gone, the deceiver will now, deceive unrestrained. Then shall that wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the Spirit of his mouth and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him whose coming is after the working of Satan, with all power and signs and. lying wonders, and with ail deceivabieness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.— ll Thes. 5-10. Then follows the great tribulation described in Matt. 24, etc., until He lays hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years.— . Rev. 26, 2. Then shall the Millennium (and hot till then) commence, Christ’s 'holy peaceful reign on this earth, which; is foretold in Psa. 72, Isa. 11, etc. Then the remaining part of Rev. 20. describes vividly the resurrection of the dead, who. died out, of Christ, the Great White Throne judgment, the end of the earth, and the inevitable destiny of all whose names are not found written in the Book of Life.
