SHANNON STOCK SALE.
The monthly stock sale was held in the Shannon yards yesterday. A good yarding of cattle came forward while only a fair number of sheep came to hand. Although there was a fair attendance of the public, bidding was very slow, particularly so for sheep, only two fines of which changed hands. Prices realised for both cattle and sheep were up to the ruling rate in other places. The follow ing prices were obtained: SheepSmall lot of ewes 13s, small lambs 9s-3d.’ Cattle: Weaner heifers 31s 6d, dairy cows in milk £2 5s to £4 2s 6d, fat cows £4 10s to £6 Bs, forward cows £3'l4s empty cows 25s to £2 10s, buns £2 to £2 15s.
