Albert Edward Doughi, charged with failure to comply with the provisions of a maintenance order, was convicted and sentenced to six months' hard labour, to be released on payment of arrears, amounting to £33. WARNING TO MOTOR DRIVERS, j Robert Hutchison Anderson was charged' with on the 20/12/24, at Levin, he did attempt to pass over a, railway crossing while the line was not clear. The police stated that on the occasion of the charge, the defendant, who .was a motor-lorry driver, had driven across the lino, the engine, having struck the back of the lorry, throwing the vehicle off the line and injuring two lads who were close alongside Mr K. E. Adams, who appeared for the defence stated that on the oceasum in question the sun was 1 declining and the driver did not see the train, which was an hour late, and eame through the station without stopping. He submitted that a light fine would meet tlie case. Fined £2 and costs 7s.

WANDERING STOCK. Roland Hayes charged with periunting one mare to .wander in Shannon Borough was lined 10s and 7s costs. Patrick GUI, similarly charged, was lined 10s, costs 7s. John Puvovano for allowing eleven cows to wander junattended in the Borough was fined 10s, costs 7s.
