LEVIN MARKET.
CATTLE EASIER. There was an exceptionally smalj. yarding of cattle at the Levin weekly sale yesterday, prices, however, on account of the absence of outside buyers, showing' a decline on late rates. The entry of sheep was fair, nothing of outstanding quality coming forward. Lambs maintained late rates, the quality of otlhej lines being such as to make a comparison of prices difficult.
Pork, of which there was a fair yarding, showed an easier tendency, other lines being on a par wiith late rates. Prices were as follow:
Pigs; Small weaners 7s to 10s, average "quality 3.2 s to 17s, stores, small, £1 to 265, good 28s to 335, light porkers 36s to £2, medium to 455, heavy to £2 lis. Sheep; Fat wethers., unfinished, 37s Id to 38s, fat ewes 29s to 29s 3d, forward lambs 21s to 225, good store ewes 21s lOd, aged ewes, r.w. Cheviot rams, 22s 3d, forward lambs 21s to 22s small b.f. lambs 16s 9d, m.s. lambs 16s 10d to 18s 2d. Cattle: Prime fat cows £6 ss, others £5 is to £5 17s 6d, good forward condftioned cows £2 14s to £4 7s 6d, store cows 30s to &%, (heifers r.w.b. £2 7s 6d to £2 12s 6d, weaner heifers scrubby, 7s 6d to 12s 6d.
