HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. Cheese: Prices of New Zealand de« clined to 98/- this week, but have recovered. 102/- is now being asked. Official quotations are: English, finest farmers' scarce, 135/- to 140/- per cwt (1/2* to 1/3 per lb*); Canadian, firm, coloured, 106/- to 112/- per cwt (11 id to V- Per lb); white, 10S/- to 112/- per cwt (ll|d to 1/per lb); New Zealand, coloured and white, 4th April 99/- up to 101/- per cwt (IOJd to 102 d per lb); 28th March, 100 to 102/- per cwt to lid per lb); 21st March, 103/- to 104/- per cwt (lid to'Hid per lb); Australian, coloured, 98/- per cwt (10Id per lb.}

Estimated stocks of cheese on the Ist April in London, Liverpool, and Bristol: Canadian and American 13,800 boxes; New Zealand and Australian 52,100 crates against 13,300 and 103,500 for same time last year. Shipments of New Zealand produce arrived this week per ss. Rotorua, Port Melbourne, Port Albany and Riimuaka.

Hemp: Manila market dull. "J" grade April/June shipments quoted at £sl sellers. Output from Ist January to 30th March was 317,000 bales against 419,000 for same period lasi year. New Zealand neglected. NominaV values are, April/June shipments-. Highpoint fair £39 10/-; Fair, £37 10/-. Wool: Bradford market dull. Merino relatively steady. Crossbred 64's (Merino) Warp 5/3 per lb; 64's (Merino) average 5/- per lb); 56,'s (super halfbred) 3/6 per lb; 40's prepared, 2/4 per lb. Oats: Market quiet. English seed quoted at 33/- to 34/- per 3361b5; feed, 28/-; New Zealand. Nominal values are: ";A" 29/- to 30/- ci.f.
