Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house, under date of the. 2nd instantButter.—Market is slow. We quote N.Z. salted 164 s (170sj, Danish 210 s (2145), finest Australian salted 162 s (168 s), pnsalted 168 s (178 s). Cheese.—Market is. steady. Quotation for N.Z. white and coloured 99s (100 s to 101 s). Shipments,—Arrivals in Great Britain during the week ending 2nd April were nil. During the previous week the following vessels arrived: Baradine, March '22nd, 7948 boxes butter; Waiwera, March 23rd, 19,048 boxes' butter; 5303 crates cheese; Pakeha, March 27tih, 56,742 boxes butter; 14,273 crates cheese. FROZEN MEAT.
Lamb.—N.Z. prime crossbred lamb, Canterbury, heavy ll£d, light il£d, North Island heavy lid, light ll£d. Fair demand for N.Z. lamb. Market is weaker.
Mutton.—N.Z. prime crossbred mutton, North Island,/ heavy 6|d, light 9d. Demand for N.Z, mutton runs principally on light weights. Market is weak.
Beef.—N.Z. prime ox beef hinds s|d, fores 4£d. Active demand for N.Z. beef. Market is firm.
