OPEN LETTER.
TO THE RESIDENTS OF SHANNON AND THE SURROUNDING DISTRICT.
An appeal is being made on behalf uf tiie Palmerston North hospital funds. On Saturday, the 4th day of April next, street collections will be made, and on the Sunday evening oi the sth April, a sacred concert will be given, the programme of which is advertised in this paper. The concert will be a high class one. 'lhe pelformers have given much tune and practice in order that those attending will, go away satisfied. But apart from ail these considerations the benefit to the .hospital is the concern of an. Ail money raised will be supplemented by the Government of £1 for £l. Ihe hospital although one oi the best equipped in New Zealand, still equires much and it is inoney alone can supply the wants. To the people of Shannon the hospital has always had an open door and this te a.nl opportunity for the people to show theii appreciation.
