LEVIN STOCK MARKET.
PRICES EASIER. There was a good yarding of uH classes of stock at the Levin weekly sale yesterday, prices being on a slightly easier 'basis than the peak rates of a few weeks ago. In si eep Hie mam yarding was hoggets some cood lines being offered and realising excellent prices. Ewe hoggets made 24s 8d to 27s sd, mixed sex lambs Sd to 24s 5d and medium black-laced lambs 22s 3d. Light l'at wethers made 3‘J S 6d and fat 2-tooth mixed sex sheep 34s 9d. Several good lines of ewes ottered and sold well up to late rates. Cattle were in better demand than m late, although prices were un■••haiiged. Light fat bullocks made £ll 15s, fat cows £4 4s to £5 10s, and fat beifers £4 8s to £4 11s. Prices were as follow: Pi"s- Weaners 10s to 16s 6d, small stores 18s 6d to 225, good stores to 28s, light porkers 34s to £2, heavier £2 3s to £2 103. Sheep: Light fat wethers 34s 9d to 39s 6d, fat 2-tooth mixed sheep 34s 9d, fat ewes 335, 4-tooth ewes 38s, 6tootli to 5-year ewes r.w. Southdown rams 32s 6d, sound mouth ewes 28s 6d, cull ewes 16s 'to 18s, good woolly ewe hoggets 24s 8d to 27s sd, mixed sex hoggets 21s 8d to 24s sd, b.t medium lambs 22s 3d, cull b.f. lambs 15s. Poor quality Southdown rams 4gns, ditto Romney rams If to 3fgns. Cattle: Light fat bullocks £H ms, fat cows £4 4s tqf £5 10s, light fat cows £3 to £4 2s 6d, fat heifers £4 8s to £4 11s, forward cows 35s to £4 ms, store cows 26s to £2 Jersey heifers r.w.b. to £4, others £2 *to £~ 10s, empty dairy heifers £2 to £2 10s, wearier heifers £1 to 345.
