"KILL A KOY" CAMPAIGN

At first sight it would appear that the printers were responsibile for the epeling in the title; since I believe it is usual to blame them when any mistakes appear in the press. They are exonerated this time, however, the title being that adopted by the "American Agriculturist" in its efforts to eliminate the unprofitable cows, and so reduce the quantity of surplus milk and increase the prices received. By appealing to every dairy-farmer to fatten and sell his poorest milking cow, it is hoped to reduce the cow population by 100,000. This scheme is nothing if not novel; and things in America must be different from what they are in this country, or it would be doomed to failure from the very outset.
