THE STUFFY LIBRARY.
(To the Editor.) _ * sir,—With your kind permission 1 would like to. put a matter of the greatest importance before the public of Shannon and that is the lack of ventilation of the Public Library. I went into the library one hot day last week and 1 very soon had to conic out a<rain or got suffocated. Thcic is oiilj one very small window and that is closely shut. 1 can tell you that the black hole of Calcutta had very little on this place with regard to ventilation. And' what is the good of the Mayor and others taking health precautions when a place like this can exist right in the heart of the town. I should think the microbes in that room must be a fair size and I thought perhaps that the authorities think it safer to keep the window shut and keep them ( ip the room;, because if they wei;e to) gt out now I am sure they would make ( their presence felt. . | I would like to see another window | put in this place and in the meantime ; open the one little window that is , thore-I am. etc., HYOBIA .
