EXCEED £8,000,000 FOR YEAR. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Customs duty collected in New Zea. land ports for the quarter ended December 31, 1924, amounted to £1,892,. 164 (compared with £1,933,137 for the corresponding quarter of 1023). Excise duty for the same period amounted to £202,848 (compared with £201,922 for the corresponding quarter of 1923). Customs duty for the year 1924 was £7,480,947 (for the year 1023 it waa £7,187,061). Excise duty for, 1924 was £739,375 (for the year 1923 it was £711,734).
