MILLIONS FOR WOOL.
The Government Statistician reports that the quantity and value of wool and pelts and woolled skins exports from New Zealand for the twelve months ended 1924 and i! i923 were as follow: — Bales. £ 1924 593,027 15,267,364 1923 613,308 10,904,658 The exports for last year were less by 20,281 bales and the returns to growers were £4,362,706 more. Exports for sheepskins in the .wool and without amount for the twelve months in number and value as follow: No. £ 1924 8,825,666 1,513,477 1923 8,246,980 1,121,695 Together wool and' sheepskins exported give a total return, based on Customs valuation, of £16,780,841, or £4,754,488 more than 1923, for 20,281 fewer bales of wool and 578,686 fewer skins or pelts—a return of four and three-quarter millions sterling for substantially less produce.
